Thomas Cook Children's Charity
If your project will help (among others) disadvantaged young people aged under 18, then you can also apply for funding from the Thomas Cook Children’s Charity.
The Thomas Cook Children’s Charity was set up in 2009 to make dreams come true for sick and disadvantaged children. Funds are raised by customers when they book their holidays and donate unwanted currency on flights, and by a range of employee initiatives.
Over £4m has been raised to date which has paid for a range of projects including installing computers, TVs and flight simulator software into 10 children’s hospices and buying mini-buses for a number of worthy causes in the UK and overseas.
Its parent company, Thomas Cook has a long association with sport. It was the official short break provider for the London 2012 Games and Thomas Cook Sport continues to be the official travel partner to football clubs across the county. Through Inspired Facilities, the charity is making its contribution to a lasting legacy from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Whether its matched funding to help your Inspired Facilities grant go further or alternative funding to pay for operating costs we don’t cover, a Thomas Cook Children’s Charity grant could help you give children in your community new chances and opportunities to play sport.
If you would like to apply for funding from Thomas Cook Children’s Charity, simply complete the relevant questions on your online application and we will pass your form directly to the charity. Even if your application is unsuccessful you will still have the opportunity to apply for Thomas Cook Children’s Charity funding and we will let you know how to do this at the time.
To date, Thomas Cook Children’s Charity has made awards of more than £316,940 to over 34 projects.
